Just discovered the Golden Gretas. Loved all the comments, but especially "The Worst Time..." It was hilarious! Husband George could top you with his "fun" drive last winter, creeping along in snow-slick traffic on an Xpressway (from Nashville to Lou.) with a busfull of kids next to him, looking down. He sat and squirmed and suffered a "wet lap" + for about your same 90 mins. I'm sure you got the drift......As to that gorgeous Rice Pudding, it's dessert tonight! Thanks for sharing all the joys and worth-it woes. Porter

Never noticed the "videos" before. Just LOVED the Open House. Ready to jump on a plane and come - if only to play with Greta. Placed a substantial order just from that video! Each holiday, do a (slower please) LONG, detailed video of all your items, especially those relating to the upcoming special date. I felt that I was wandering through the displays, but even better to hold up some things and turn some side to side, etc. Bet you will sell a slew of items. EVERY item you sell should be on video - eventually. Just places the buyer right in the "store". Highlight the offer of Videos the minute someone goes to your website. (It's "hidden" now at the top of the screen in little print at the end of the listing.) You have the MOST wonderful things - unusual, interesting and very high quality. Thanks for taking all of us on "little jaunts" through Europe, by virtue of your selections. Keep traveling!!!

Loved the mini-tour of your open house! I so wish I could have been there. I liked seeing Greta padding in front of the Swiss bag table...it gave me a good idea of their size/proportion. Hope you had a lot of visitors!

Wonderful post! Another highly acclaimed museum is the "SFO" Aviation Museum and Library
(see: http://www.flysfo.com/web/page/sfo_museum/aviation_library_museum/).
Not a far walk from your major inbound flights, this museum has some tremendous collections (i.e., china settings, uniforms, etc) from Pacific flight companies. A definite visit (along with the SFO Museum of Modern Art) when visiting the "Golden Gate city."

To keep your Swiss Post bag looking good, follow these steps:
1. Spray it with a fabric protectant.
2. After that, use a stiff fabric brush to sweep off dirt, etc.

These are handcrafted from recycled Swiss Post bags (canvas), so the fabric is already broken in and showing some nice character.

Your newest Swiss post bags are very cool!!! Look for my order soon. Great for the gym or travel - can't wait. What are your thoughts on cleaning the fabric if it gets a bit dirty?

Bravo! Bravo! I've been missing the Esquire Dubious Achievement Awards so your entertaining, sparkling list couldn't have come at better time. Plus, it's minus the sarcasm so I have a pure smile going with no guilt. How kind of Greta to lend her likeness to such prestigious awards—and I won in category 9 so I am elated! Blessings for the next go-round.

My mom, sister and I would make Christmas ornaments during our family fishing vacations while my brother and dad were out on the boat. I have several of the ornaments on our tree now and I love hanging them on the tree every year. One year we made a Lee Wards Christmas tree skirt with felt and sequins. The twelve days of Christmas is under my mom's tree to this day! My sister bought an unopened kit on ebay last year. I am looking forward to working on it over the Thanksgiving holiday with her family. The tradition continues.
